Tile Grout is used to fill gaps between different types of tiles. They can be applied in different widths and are available in many different colours. Cellulose ether prevents excessive water absorption by the substrate or ceramic cover, allowing sufficient time for rubbing and finishing.
1.Cellulose ether can well improve the water retention of cement-based tile grout, increase the consistency of tile grout, and improve the bleeding property of tile grout. But need to have appropriate viscosity and dosage.
2.The viscosity of cellulose ether has a great influence on the fluidity of tile grout. It must have a suitable viscosity. If the viscosity is too low, it will not thicken at a low dosage. If the dosage is too high, the grouting will be greatly increased. The cost of the material is not necessary. If the viscosity is too high, the fluidity will be greatly reduced at very low dosage.
3.Under the same dosage, different cellulose ether viscosities have little effect on the early strength of cement-based tile grout. Under the same viscosity, the greater the cellulose ether content, the lower the flexural strength of the cement-based grouting materials, and the compressive strength does not change much.
