Cellulose ether is mainly used as a binder in the Engobes&glaze slurry, and it also plays a role in suspension. When Cellulose ether is added to the glaze slurry, the water penetrates into the inside of the Cellulose ether glue block, and the hydrophilic group combines with water, resulting in water absorption and swelling. In the glue liquid, due to the asymmetry in size and shape, and the regular interference with each other, combined with the water layer to gradually form a network structure, the volume is large, so it has a strong adhesion ability.
The rheologically modified effect of KimaCell cellulose ethers prevents solids precipitation and supports good flow of glazing pastes, ensuring uniform coating of ceramic bodies. In the dry state, Cellulose ether enhances the bond between the glaze film and the ceramic surface, making it smooth and stable.
