Tile adhesives are used for internal and external tiling of various structures such as houses, buildings and swimming pools, especially walls, floors, ceilings, etc. To increase the productivity of tiling jobs, tile adhesives should have a longer open time to allow more tiles to be applied to the substrate. And to firmly fix the tiles, the tile adhesive should have high tensile strength.
EIFS adhesives ensure a good bond between the substrate and the insulating board. KimaCell cellulose ethers improve the processability of adhesives and improve adhesion and sag resistance.
The cement content of economical Tile adhesive is lower than that of ordinary tile cement. The high water retention properties of KimaCell® cellulose ethers provide strong bond strength.

Standard Tile Adhesive (C1) is a cement tile adhesive specified in EN12004. The adhesive strength of standard tile adhesive after drying should be higher than 0.5 N/mm2. Using cellulose ether can improve slip resistance and extend open time and can be normal setting or fast setting.
Generally, the dosage of KimaCell® Cellulose ether in the dry-mix mortar should be about 0.3-0.4%, so that the adhesive strength can reach this level.

Premium tile adhesive(C2) is a special tile cement binder with additional properties as specified in EN12004. The adhesive strength of premium tile adhesive should be at least 1.0 N/mm2.
Using cellulose ether can provide improve slip resistance, extend open time and fulfil all tensile adhesion strength requirements.
The dosage of KimaCell® cellulose ether is generally 0.4~0.6%, which is the highest level used in tile adhesives.
