External Insulation Finishing Systems (EIFS) is made of polymer mortar, glass fiber mesh, flame-retardant molded polystyrene foam board (EPS) or extruded plastic board (XPS) and other materials, and is bonded on site. Cementitious thin layer adhesives are used to adhere tiles for installation of External Insulation Finishing Systems (EIFS/ETICS).
They offer simple and lightweight workability, high efficiency and guarantee long-term durability.EIFS adhesives ensure a good bond between the substrate and the insulating board.
In EIFS material, cellulose ethers mainly plays the role of bonding and increasing strength. It is easier to coat the sand, improve work efficiency, and has anti-sag effect. The higher water retention performance can prolong the working time of the mortar and improve the resistance to Shrinkage and crack resistance, improved surface quality, increased bond strength. KimaCell cellulose ether improve the processability of EIFS adhesives and improve adhesion and sag resistance.
