1. Bond Strength

The biggest difference between tile adhesives and cement mortar is the bonding strength. Tile adhesives have better adhesion, which is the most fundamental reason why tile adhesives gradually replace cement mortar.

First of all, the bond strength of cement mortar depends on the ratio of cement to sand, which is very dependent on the craftsmanship of the decorator. Secondly, the cement mortar uses the hydration product to form an anchor with the pores on the back of the tile to achieve the purpose of stabilizing the tile. This principle of action cannot meet the needs of laying high-density tiles. The tile adhesive has already prepared the proportion of each component during production, and it has cohesive force itself, so it has a wider range of application.

2. Construction Method

Tiling tiles with cement mortar requires soaking the tiles in advance, and the steps are cumbersome. In addition, when tiling tiles, you must first apply cement mortar on the back of the tiles, and then stick them on the wall. This method of pasting can easily lead to uneven distribution of cement mortar, and eventually lead to hollowing and falling off of tiles.

When using tile adhesive to tile, generally use a scraper to scrape the tile adhesive on the wall to form a uniform rack shape, and then rub the tiles on the wall, and there is no need to soak the tiles in advance, and the construction steps are simpler.
