KimaCell®HPMC E 50 Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is one of the main dispersant varieties in the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) industry. During the suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride, it can reduce the interfacial tension between VCM and water, and help vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) to disperse uniformly and stably in the water medium; prevent VCM droplets from merging at the beginning of the polymerization process; Prevent coalescence between polymer particles in the middle and later stages. In the suspension polymerization system, it plays a dual role of dispersing and protecting stability.

KimaCell® HPMC E 50 is widely used in PVC suspension polymerization, the dispersion system directly affects the quality of the product PVC resin and its processing and products; to improve the thermal stability of the resin and control the particle size distribution (both adjust the density of PVC), the amount of HPMC accounts for 0.025%-0.03% of the PVC output. The PVC resin prepared by high-quality HPMC not only ensures that the performance meets international standards, but also has good physical properties, excellent particle characteristics and excellent melt rheological behavior.
