KimaCell® HPMC-P HP55S Hypromellose phthalate was recorded in Japan and the United States Pharmacopoeia in 1981 and 1983 respectively. It is a new type of enteric film coating material with excellent performance. It has good film-forming properties, fast dissolution Stable properties and other characteristics, this enteric coating material is the product of esterification with phthalic anhydride with hydroxypropyl methylcellulose as the skeleton. It is insoluble in water and gastric juice, and can rapidly expand and dissolve in the upper small intestine.

KimaCell® HPMC-P HP55S is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry as an enteric coating material, suitable for organic solvent system coating, and has good compatibility with raw materials. Product quality complies with USP-NF/EP/BP. HPMCP is a powder product with an average particle size of 400-600 μm, and the particles can be easily dissolved in organic solvents. It has good solubility in organic solvents. When a large amount of HPMCP is added to the coating solvent at one time, coagulation will occur, and it takes a long time to completely dissolve HPMCP. When using a mixed solvent such as ethanol/water or ethanol/dichloromethane, first pour the ethanol into the container, stir slowly, and then add all the HPMCP to the ethanol to obtain a balanced dissolution. Then, slowly pour the other solvents into the mixture. Using this method, HPMCP can be prepared rapidly.
