KimaCell® CMC FP5000 sodium carboxymethyl cellulose is a kind of ionic water-soluble cellulose ether. The application of polyanionic cellulose in high-grade products is mainly used for plastering gypsum, water resistant putty, bonding gypsum and caulking gypsum, which can significantly improve the water retention and bonding strength, and has the characteristics of good workability and no cracking. It has no pharmacological effect, is non-toxic, and is harmless to physiology. The distribution of substituents is relatively uniform, sufficient and antibacterial.

KimaCell® CMC FP5000 sodium carboxymethyl cellulose can control and adjust the rheology of coatings, improve the water retention value of coatings, and prevent the migration of water-soluble adhesives; In addition, its excellent film forming performance makes the coating particularly suitable for film transfer coating and scraper coating during sizing and pressing, which is more conducive to overcoming scratches caused by measuring rods or scrapers, making the coating surface appear flat, even and smooth, avoiding wrinkles, and endowing the coating with good optical performance, opacity and sufficient surface strength. It is beneficial to improve the solid content of paint. The water content, viscosity and other factors of the coating are the key factors to determine the brushing effect. Adding an appropriate amount of carboxymethyl cellulose in the coating can effectively stabilize the water content of the coating and make the viscosity of the coating meet the requirements, thus improving the quality of the coating product.
