Ashland To Increase Production Capacity Of Natrosol Hec At Nanjing Plant

Ashland Global has announced that it plans to increase Natrosol hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC) production capacity in Nanjing, China.

"Ashland Natrosol rheology modifiers have been the leading cellulosic thickeners in waterborne architectural coatings," said Guillermo Novo, Chairman and CEO of Ashland.

"Given the unprecedented demand and our customer-focused strategy, Ashland will build on our previous investment in Nanjing and further expand capacity. This demonstrates our determination to invest in Asia. It also supports Ashland's ( Ashland’s growth strategy to ensure we can meet the growing demand of our customers and provide additional security of supply globally.”

Natrosol HEC is a natural product that is an excellent thickener and used as a non-ionic rheology modifier in industrial and consumer applications.
